Durban: King Shaka's first flight on 1 May 2010

SA Airlink flights will start operating from the newly built King Shaka International Airport in Durban on May 1, a month before the kick-off of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. SA Airlink is currently advising its passengers about the cutover date from the existing Durban International Airport to the new state-of-the-art facility.
"Airlink would like to advise its passengers on the cutover date from the existing Durban airport to the new Durban airport.
"Airlines have received confirmation that the date has been finalised for the 01 May 2010, so it is vital that all passengers are aware of the cutover on 01 May 2010," read a statement.
The new airport is approximately 65 km away from the current airport. - (c) BuaNews (Nthambeleni Gabara)
