2010 World Cup ticket sales update

FIFA Secretary-General Jerome Valcke just told the media that the number of seats at the World Cup has jumped by 100,000 to more than three million. Due to revised seating plans and allocations the additional 100,000 seats became available.
The
percentage of seats sold will probably be slightly higher than at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. FIFA is currently expecting to sell 97% of all tickets which is pretty close to the best World Cup ever in terms of ticketing which is the 1994 one in the US.
