Kruger National Park: daily visitor quotas increased by 10%

From 01 June 2010 the daily visitor quota for all ten Kruger National Park entrance gates got increased by 10%. This decision was taken after a study was conducted last year, to determine the actual environmental impact caused on the park by the volume of day visitors entering per gate. The findings concluded that it would be feasible to increase the daily quota by a maximum of 10%. Kruger Gate, for example, had a limit of 500 individual day visitors per day and this will now increase to 550 people per day. [src.: sanparks]
