Lufthansa: daily Airbus A380 flights between Frankfurt & Johannesburg

German flag carrier Lufthansa introduced daily flights with the Airbus A380 between Frankfurt and Johannesburg on 15 Feb 2011. The daily connection increased the airline's capacity between Germany and South Africa by almost 1100 seats per week. Since the introduction of the Airbus A380 to South Africa in 2010, Lufthansa has increased its capacity already by 3850 seats per week.

  • daily between Johannesburg 19:50 > Frankfurt 05:25
The Airbus A380 is currently the largest passenger airliner in the world with 49% more floor space than the current next-largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400. The airplance provides seating for 526 people in a typical three-class configuration - eight in first class, 98 in business class and 420 in economy class.
