According to ESPN, South Africa will host the richest tournament in world golf in 2012. The prize money of the tournament will be $10 million. The deal was sealed in Augusta, Georgia, between the US PGA Tour and the International Federation of PGA Tours last week. The tournament, named Tournament of Hope, will be only the second World Golf Championship event held outside the US.
Date and venue of the event hasn't been decided, but the commissioner of the Sunshine Tour, Gareth Tindall, told the media that the organisers are looking at a date in December.
