update (03 Sept 2012): South African Airways will increase flights between Johannesburg and Mumbai to a daily service on 03 October 2012.
update (06 June 2012): South African Airways will increase the frequency on the
Johannesburg <> Mumbai route from 5 to 6 weekly flights from 16 Aug 2012. The new flights will be operated on Tuesdays from Johannesburg and on Wednesdays from Mumbai.
South Africa's flag carrier South African Airways announced that it will be introducing additional flights between Johannesburg and Mumbai effective 16 June 2012. The airline will be offering five flights per week on the Johannesburg <> Mumbai route, which is one flight more than the previous four flights per week. The additional flight is currently subject to government approval.
South African Airways is also planning to introduce a bigger aircraft on selected days to accommodate the additional demand on the route.
