Ethiopian Airlines to operate several one-time services to 18 destinations with its new Dreamliner

Ethiopia's flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, will take delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner on 14 August 2012 in Seattle, Washington (USA). Two days later, on 16 August 2012, the Dreamliner will make its first touchdown at Bole Addis Ababa International Airport in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).
To celebrate the arrival of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Ethiopian Airlines is planning to operate several one-time services to 18 countries in Africa, Middle East and South Asia between 18 August - 04 September 2012.

Ethiopian Airlines will operate flights to the following East/Southern African destinations (ex Addis Ababa):
  • Nairobi/Entebbe on 19 August 2012 and 22 August 2012
  • Harare/Lusaka on 20 August 2012 and 23 August 2012
  • Johannesburg on 26 August 2012 (the start of the planned daily service between Addis Ababa and Johannesburg go postponed to 28 October 2012 at the earliest)
  • Kilimanjaro/Mombasa on 21 August 2012 and 24 August 2012
  • Maputo on 02 September 2012
  • Luanda on 03 September 2012
